Tressa and Kyle | Marquette, Michigan Winter Wedding Photographs
Tressa and Kyle’s love is a glowing ember. Soft and understated, it pulses throughout their lives, brightening the hearts of each person they meet. Time won’t fade it, and cold winds only make it more determined to grow stronger.
These extraordinary people- world travelers, partners, friends- were married on a snowy day in Marquette, MI.
Their wedding day was one of the warmest I’ve ever photographed. <3

Michigan decided to blanket Tressa and Kyle’s Marquette wedding with inches of snow the night before. The day began at Sister’s Hair Co…
Meanwhile, Kyle began the day at the Landmark Inn..
Tressa’s wedding dress blew me away. The detail is so gorgeous!!
I just adore the reaction of the “moms” to seeing Tressa as a bride…
But what would Kyle’s reaction be? Kyle and Tressa wanted to do a special reveal, or “first look” before the ceremony. So, with bated breath, Kyle waited for Tressa to appear…
I adore how Kyle looks at his beautiful bride <3
After a few adjustments…
We went out to spend some time on just the two lovebirds…
A native Marquette resident, my second shooter Alex was kind enough to show me some amazing secret spots. Tressa and Kyle braved the cold, and it was worth it!!
At last, it was time for the ceremony. The gorgeous Landmark was waiting…
Tressa and Kyle tied a literal knot as a keepsake reminder: a true love binds forever.
While the Landmark staff changed the ceremony room to a reception room, Kyle and Tressa visted with family and friends during the cocktail hour..
And when we returned to the top floor, the gorgeous setup floored us all!
Tressa and Kyle’s engagement guestbook was a hit.
Family and friends left well wishes and shared memories inside..
Although I ADORE Tressa’s ring, the real show-stopper was the custom made gorgeous keepsake box featuring a favorite engagement photograph, they had made to hold their “knot” and marriage license. Love it!
Ales was kind enough to let me play with his LensBaby.. this little gem allows you to literally bend your lens to create strange and wonderful perspective shifts!
While the night continued, a special surprise was left for the bride and groom in the honeymoon suite…
Lol, love this kid —v
With the reception done and loved ones saying their goodbyes, we decided to venture out in the snow for a few nighttime shots. <3
ADORE this shot…
Tressa and Kyle, I wish you all the best in your new life together. I know that you will continue to share a love that lights up the world. <3
