At the gorgeous home of Kelly’s parents, she began getting ready for the day.
(…including practicing for a ceremony surprise!)
I just love the reaction from the girls when Kelly got her dress on!
Meanwhile, preparations were going on outside! I adore this red wedding theme!
I just couldn’t have asked for a more gorgeous couple, better location, or perfect weather!!
When it was time for the exchange of rings, Gerry went on one knee- such a beautiful moment.
As a surprise to Gerry, Kelly sang “Es Por Ti” for him. It’s such a beautiful song, and it’s been stuck in my head for weeks now!
At the end of the ceremony, Gerry prayed for guidance in his roles of husband and father. It was one of the most touching prayers I had ever heard- hearing Gerry beg for wisdom, faith, and the strength to protect and nurture his family brought tears to my eyes.
Now, it was time to party!
There were so many details that made the reception beautiful and fun! From the drink “coolers”….
..to the impressive Fruit Rainbow tray…
…to homemade jam for the guests to take as gifts.
Kelly and I agreed that the accidental “sunset” design of the unity sand was just perfect. Such a wonderful keepsake!
This cake, inspired by a Pinterest pin, was SO awesome. I also loved the personalized cake toppers!
The card box was another spot where Kelly and Gerry really made it their own!
As we headed out to have some photo time, we had to stop and try out the yard games.
It was so relaxing having an intimate ceremony and reception at the same place. More time for relaxed, gorgeous photographs!
Meanwhile, everyone was enjoying the “photobooth” backdrop that Kelly had managed to acquire from a movie theater!
Well into the night, paper lanterns were brought out to send out lights over the water…
At last, the night was over. And what’s a weary couple to do at the end of a long wedding day? Collapse, of course!
Kelly and Gerry, it was an absolute please being your photographer. May you have a lifetime of love and happiness!
