Lansing, Michigan Engagement Photographer | Ian and Jen 2 | Golden Harvest and Trains
Jen, Ian and I had so much fun getting their Lansing engagement photographs done in Old Town and Dewitt that we decided to do one more mini session! They love the Golden Harvest restaurant, and asked if it would be possible to also do a mini session there. I had heard that their food is EPIC, (as in, people wait outside for hours to get in for lunch- on weekdays) and I had been dying to check them out, so of course I was all for it! (Sadly, since I was shooting, I didn’t get to try the food, myself, but… it smelled SO amazing and looked even more amazing. :/ I’m totally taking Landon there as soon as possible!!)
Everyone at Golden Harvest knew Ian and Jen, and were excited to hear they were engaged. They were totally nice about us doing some photographs there. Thanks, GH!!
Doesn’t that food look AWESOME?
Ian and Jen have GH connections. —v
After we finished at Golden Harvest, we wandered around a bit near Turner road and decided to spend some time under the overpass. I had been eyeballing this area for a while, hoping to do a shoot there…
Just as we were finishing up, a train started to roll by!! We quickly ran to catch a few awesome photographs in front of the train before it disappeared.
It was an amazing shoot and I had a blast with this gorgeous couple.
I can’t wait to shoot their Puerto Rico wedding in February! (so long, snow!! Bwa-hahaha!!)
After I put up this post, I will be uploading all of Jen and Ian’s engagement photographs to their proofing gallery. Stay tuned!

What a super cute session! I love their outfits and the whole sequence in the diner is just wonderful – my husband and I love to go out for brunch in random quirky places and this session makes me want to get photographed while we’re at it!
