Family Portrait FAQs:

Q. How many poses may I select with my print credit?
A. As many as you like! There is no set number of poses, whether you are using your print credit or purchasing a la carte prints. (The only exception to this is wallets, which are printed four at a time. Divide your included number of wallets by four, and that’s how many poses may be selected for your wallets! For example, if you order 40 wallets, you can have up to 10 poses.)

Q. What are digital files?
A. High-resolution Jpegs. Digital files come on a beautifully labeled DVD in a personalized case. You get to choose which digital files you would like- there are always some included in each package, and you may purchase any number of additional files. Purchasing the digital file of a photograph grants you the right to print and copy them as much as, and wherever, you want!

Q. What is re-touching?
A. No one likes to see a good photograph ruined by a scab or pimple. Proofs (including online proofs) will not be re-touched. Any purchased prints (those included in your package, and those purchased a la carte) will be re-touched to remove acne, scars/scabs, and other problems. Special effects will also be applied! Photographs used in albums, books, or other gift items are also re-touched.

Q. Can I include more people than the package includes?
A. Of course! Contact me for more information and a price quote for the addition.

Q. What are online proofs?
A. Within a week, your non-retouched proofs will be posted online for you to view and make selections. Share the link with family and friends! (A small collection of re-touched “Photographer’s Faves” will also be posted, to demonstrate special effects)

Q. Where will the photographs be taken?
A. I live in a gorgeous, picturesque town called Dewitt- it has a wonderful flowing stream, gazebos, forested walking trials, and more. And since I am so close to Lansing, there is a huge number of unique locations nearby! If you prefer to have your photographs taken in your area, that’s no problem at all. (Keep in mind that long distances may incur travel charges.) The beach, the forest, rail-road tracks, even specialty places like a cider mill or your own home are all excellent ideas. Let’s chat, and pick a great place!
