It’s not every day that I get to photograph a wedding at a castle. ;)

Lauren and Evan were married one week ago on the gorgeous grounds of Charlevoix, Michigan’s Castle Farms. Although the rain gave us some challenges, the wedding was a beautiful testimant to love… and, the party was rockin’!!

The full gallery will be released very soon. In the meantime, please enjoy this selection of my favorites from the day- and don’t forget to leave some love for Evan and Lauren in the comments below! :D

Vendor Details:
Bridal Hair/Makeup: Chello’s Salon, East Jordan, MI

Also, I have to give credit to my amazing photography assistant, Karissa. She made many of these shots possible with her help! :D

The ladies at Chello’s Salon welcomed us in as we started the day…

I adored the details of Lauren’s outfit! Her gorgeous tiara was her mother’s at her own wedding- and the long veil was simply amazing.

Have you ever met someone so full of laughter that it lights you up to talk with them? People so genuinely happy and exuberant about life that you can’t help but love them…. with maybe a lemony twist of good-natured sarcasm thrown in for fun?

Aaron and Erin? They’re like that.

From their names to their goofy sense of humor, these two are a perfect match. Their wedding is going to be EPIC, and I am very proud and excited to reveal their engagement photographs!

Browse through a few of my favorites below, or maybe check out the full gallery here at the proofing site to see more of these gorgeous people!

We started out the session with a stroll through Old Town, Lansing. The Unicorn Tavern welcomed us for a quick quench…

….then, down to the Grand River boardwalk. I adore this spiral staircase!

I love throwing in secret spots… below is an area I’ve had an eye on for a while. Thanks for braving the walk out there, you guys- it was worth it!!

As Landon (my husband/assistant/carrier of stuff) and I walked around the Detroit Zoo in preparation for Olivia and Josh’s engagement photographs, I knew it was going to be great. So many gorgeous landscapes mixed with such a fun couple can’t go wrong! ;) After chatting with Olivia about the places around the world we have each been able to travel to, and finding out that Josh runs a comic book reviewing website (!), I am more than qualified to tell you that these are awesome people. :D

We decided to begin the day in the aviary, where the gorgeous light poured in from the windows and Olivia and Josh could keep warm while getting used to the camera. …they are, as it turns out, naturals:

The shot below is one of my very favorites! We had to be patient to capture one of our little otter friends in the shot, but the moment was worth it. <3
